Manufacturingin North DakotaNorth Dakota Manufactures have unique challenges not common to other sectors.The need to invest high levels of capital in automation, an ever increasing specialized talent pool, and a diverse pool of manufacturing sectors making for challenging union when it comes to lobbying at the state capitol. As a result, the Greater North Dakota Chamber wants to hear from you at a special meeting specifically for manufactures. This is at the request of several manufactures who tell us it is time to unite, time to tell the manufacturing story, and time to be well represented in the 2017 legislative session.We've decided to hold a focused 3 hour session in Bismarck on July 26th; we'll get right to the point and not waste a moment of your time.The issues we'll talk about will include:- 2017 Legislative priorities
- Manufacturing Day at the Legislature (intended to create awareness of legislative manufacturing needs)
- Manufacturing week in October (intended to increase awareness of manufacturing careers)
- Talent recruitment and workforce challenges
- Dream It. DO IT. North Dakota Campaign (intended to create ongoing awareness of manufacturing and current careers expectations and priorities)
- Where is manufacturing going in North Dakota and how do we get there?
