April 15, 2020The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) in partnership with Senator Hoeven will hold a Business Forum on Friday, April 17, 2020, at 10:00 AM CDT. This call forum is for business leaders, trade associations, and local chambers of commerce to hear from Senator Hoeven and other key federal agencies, responsible for implementing the CARES ACT as well as gather input from those businesses who are having successes or challenges as programs take effect.
Senator Hoeven has extended invitations to key federal agency representatives to provide an update. Confirmed speakers are from the following agencies: U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Small Business Administration, and U.S. Economic Development Administration.
“The relief brought by FFCRA and the CARES Act assists businesses to create strategies but has created some confusion to navigate the best path for each organization. As our business leaders continue to look for answers, the Greater North Dakota Chamber appreciates that our congressional delegates are stepping up to not only provide clarity but also to be a sounding board for our businesses. We are proud to partner with Senator Hoeven to promote this opportunity. Presenters on this call are influencing and implementing the programs that will be key to the recovery efforts of our nation’s economy,” stated Arik Spencer, GNDC CEO and President.
Attendees must register in advance to receive the call-in information. The event is open to all businesses in North Dakota. Responses submitted at the time of registration will be supplied to Senator Hoeven who is continuing to work on efforts and resources that will benefit those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
