• GNDC Issues Statement on Housing Recommendations

BISMARCK, ND – The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) CEO and President, Arik Spencer has issued a statement today specific to Governor Burgum’s North Dakota Housing Initiative Advisory Committee’s committee recommendations for addressing housing needs.

"The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) is encouraged by the Housing Initiative Advisory Committee’s essential discussion on addressing the state’s housing challenges. This issue profoundly impacts employers' ability to attract and retain the workforce needed for economic growth across North Dakota. As we move forward, GNDC is also eager to hear from Governor-elect Armstrong on how his administration will approach this pressing matter. Housing has been a significant barrier for North Dakota’s business community, with at least 43% of our membership indicating that these challenges hinder the ability to advance their operations. GNDC encourages innovative solutions to help solve the state’s housing shortage, knowing that a focused effort can foster housing stability, support our workforce, and strengthen communities statewide.”
