GNDC Responds to CNBC Ranking of North Dakota as a Top State for Business
July 22, 2025BISMARCK, ND – The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) has issued a statement following the release of CNBC’s 2025 “Top States for Business” rankings, where North Dakota climbed 9 spots to land at #25 overall, up from #34 in 2024.
“This latest CNBC ranking affirms what North Dakota’s business leaders already know — that our state is on the rise,” said Arik Spencer, GNDC President and CEO. “Climbing 9 places in just one year is a significant achievement and reflects the strategic efforts underway to strengthen our state’s business climate. We’re especially proud to be ranked #1 in Business Friendliness and in the top 10 for Quality of Life. These rankings reflect the strength of our communities, the resilience of our employers, and the leadership driving our economy forward.”
Spencer continued, “At GNDC, we see this recognition as motivation to keep building. We'll continue advocating for solutions that support workforce development, infrastructure, and innovation—ensuring our state continues to move forward and remains a destination for talent and investment.”
