• Greater North Dakota Chamber to hold annual Policy Summit

The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) invites you to attend the 2019 Policy Summit on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in Bismarck, at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center. This annual event brings together business and government leadership to discuss policies impacting North Dakota’s business climate and address issues impacting our state’s future growth.

This premier public policy forum is a non-partisan event open to members and non-members of the Greater North Dakota Chamber. Attendees have cited that the event’s success is due to GNDC’s commitment to ensuring various views are represented on the presented issues. The day will open with registration and networking at 9:00 followed by panels and presentations, additional networking opportunities and the closing keynote, “Big Federal Issues and Why We Should Care.” This will be presented by Ronald Eidshaug, Vice President of the United States Chamber’s Congressional and Public Affairs Division.

    Sessions include:

    • Trade and Tariffs – A Changing Landscape
    • Should North Dakota Raise the Gas Tax?
    • Health Insurance – Why Does It Cost So Much?
    • Should North Dakota Get Rid of the Income Tax?
“This year’s sessions were generated from topics that either had relevance to this past legislative session or will be influencing dialogue and discussions over the coming year,” says Arik Spencer, GNDC CEO and president. “North Dakota’s economy is reliant on business and government coming together to create sound policies in order to remain competitive. The goal of this Policy Summit is to encourage collaboration and communication between business leaders and elected officials to connect the dots.”

Registration to attend is $130 for members and $160 for non-GNDC members. Discount early bird rates are available until August 9.
