    CEO Roundtable- September 2016

    Agenda

What makes a particular state a great place to do business and why should it matter to you?  It’s a great question and one we should continually be answering. Jonathan Williams, Vice President for the Center for State Fiscal Reform at the American Legislative Exchange, co-authors Rich States, Poor States: ALEC-Laffer Economic State Competitive Index.  As a result, Williams knows what makes businesses thrive and helps states become prosperous. Williams will present his findings in a special high level briefing at the CEO Roundtable. He work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Investor’s Business Daily.  He has testified before numerous legislative communities, and spoken to audiences across the US.  He is a frequent guest on radio talk shows and has appeared on numerous television outlets, including the PBS NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Fox Business News, and Bloomberg News.  He promises to help us understand what really matters in state finances and why that impacts your business.

Next we have Karel Sovak Ph.D., University of Mary Business Department faculty member, who will speak on what it means to be a virtuous leader. His message is sure to inspire and engage those business leaders who have a desire to practice virtuous capitalism.

Jen Bertsch is all about making choices and taking actions that lead to the rich lives we all want. As a seasoned entrepreneur coach who grew up in a family business she lives by those words. Every day she helps business people grow their businesses and get more out of their employees.  At the same time she helps those same people get a life!  Jen’s get it done attitude, contagious enthusiasm, and direct style will challenge you. She has inspired her clients from coast to coast to unlock their potential and create a future distinct from their past. Her clients include Fortune 500 Companies, Big Ten Universities, and global financial institutions. Don’t miss Jen – her message might change how you do business.
